From the Classroom to the Cornfield: EHS Students Learn by Doing Through SAE Projects
From the classroom to the cornfield, students in Eaton High School's Agriculture Program have the opportunity to take their learning beyond the classroom through Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) projects. For sophomore Kale Winter, that meant helping bring the school’s pivot back to life this summer alongside his dad and Valley Irrigation. Once the pivot was up and running, Kale put it to work, growing corn for his SAE project and selling it for members of our community to enjoy! Projects like Kale’s give students valuable, real-world agricultural experience while building skills in problem-solving, responsibility, business and entrepreneurship. This is what career-connected learning looks like!
