Congratulations to our very own Benjamin Corneliusen, Eaton High School's Director of Bands, who is the 2026 Outstanding Young Music Educator! He was honored at the annual Colorado Music Educators Association (CMEA) Conference this month. The award, given to only two music educators statewide each year, recognizes educator's dedication and impact on students.
"I’m truly honored to receive this recognition, and I see it as a reflection of the great things happening with our students at Eaton High School. Over the past four years, I've watched our bands grow in confidence, musicianship, and pride - with students achieving remarkable things both within our school ensembles and in music communities around the state. I’m grateful for administrators and colleagues who support our students' excellence and passion for the fine arts, and especially for my students whose dedication and work ethic bring our bands to life every day. Eaton’s music programs are helping shape motivated, creative, and collaborative young people, and I’m proud of the positive impact they're making in our school and our community," said Corneliusen.
Here at EHS, we see his commitment to students each day. His passion for teaching, music and student success is evident. He is incredibly deserving of this award and we are proud to have him as an Eaton Red!
